<p>PURPOSE:To provide the coordinate detecting and display device which detects coordinates with a high resolution and is inexpensively constituted in a small size. CONSTITUTION:A photodetector 2 is arranged under a liquid crystal display device 1. When a coordinate pointer 4 which emits light from its front end is placed in an arbitrary position of a display face of the liquid crystal display device 1 and this display device 1 is scanned by a controller 3 in this state, respective picture elements of the display face are momently and successively made light-transmissive. When the picture element where the coordinate pointer 4 is placed is made light-transmissive, light 41 of the coordinate pointer 4 is detected by the photodetector 2, and coordinates being scanned at this time are stored in the storage part of the controller 3. Display on the liquid crystal display device is performed by these stored coordinates.</p> |
