<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display device having nonlinear elements of a ferroelectric substance effective up to a high temp. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device is constituted by forming transparent electrodes 2a, 2b on a pair of substrates 1a, 1b, forming the nonlinear elements of the ferroelectric substance on one transparent electrode, forming metallic electrodes in contact with the nonlinear elements of the ferroelectric substance and forming oriented films on both substrates, then subjecting the films to an orientation treatment, spraying spacers 6 between the oriented films, injecting a liquid crystal 8 between the oriented films and sealing the substrate. The nonlinear elements of the ferroelectric substance of the above-mentioned display device are arom. polyurea obtd. by synthesizing arom. diisocyanate as a first monomer 11 and arom. diamine as a second monomer 12 within a vacuum chamber 10 by using a vapor deposition polymn. method.</p> |
