The positioner consists of a vertical wedging section (4) with a socket (5) in its upper surface to receive the lower end (2a) of a vertical reinforcing rod (2), a lengthwise connecting arm (7) and a lengthwise wedging element (8) with an elastic clip (9) for the tip (3a) of a horizontal reinforcing rod (3) which is fixed to the vertical one. The clip can be in the form of a single clamp set in line with the positioner's axis of symmetry, or two clamps which are located on either side of the axis, and the connecting arm (7) can have lateral and vertical reinforcing ribs.The positioner can be made from a plastics material. ADVANTAGE - Quick to fit and reliable in operation.
