FALSE CONNECTION PREVENTING CONNECTOR FOR FPC

PURPOSE:To prevent the false connection in the case where an FPC is reversely inserted into a connector by arranging contact terminals of the connector and pattern electrodes of the FPC so as not to contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:In the structure of a false connection preventing connector, a main body 1 is provided with stripe-like contact terminals 2, and the contact terminals 2 are arranged so that the width of an insulating part 4 provided in any one of the right end and the left end becomes a half of the width of an insulating part 3 of the other end. In the structure of an FPC, pattern electrodes 11 are provided in a sheet so that the width of an insulating part 12 provided in any one of the right end and the left end of the FPC becomes a half of the width of an insulating part 13 of the other end to make the contact terminals 2 of the false connection preventing connector and the FPC pattern electrodes contact with each other when the FPC is ordinally inserted to a false connection preventing connector.
