发明名称 PROJECTION LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a projection image to a screen as a high quality image having high accuracy and being free from color shading by using a clear tube for a illumination light source. CONSTITUTION:A light source 3 of a clear tube is reflected as roughly parallel white light by a reflector 2 and visible light except infrared/ultraviolet rays is separated into reflected light of red/blue light and a transmission light of a green light by red light/blue light dichroic mirrors 6R, 6B, respectively. The separated red, blue and green light is condensed by convergent lenses 10R, 10B and 10G, respectively, and transmits through color transmission images of each color by red, blue and green liquid crystal display elements 10R, 10B and 10G, and it is synthesized and projected as a color image to a screen 13 from a projection lens 12. As for the projected color image, light transmittance in the center part of the blue and the green convergent lenses 10B, 10G is made small against the outside peripheral part and a hot spot is decreased, and by providing the part in which an uneven red light of the red convergent lens 10R is large and the part in which light transmittance the center part is large against the outside peripheral part, the whole becomes uniform light transmittance.
