The lower substrate has leads and anodes for displacing certain numbers, letters and signs, fluorescent material being deposited on the anodes. Grids are regularly distributed over the anodes. Grid holders are arranged next to the edge of the lower substrate so that their feet or base elements extend to a sealing line along which a glass mass is applied. A spacer is placed upon the latter. The spacer is united with an upper glass plate. The end of each foot or tongue of the grid holder grips the lower substrate and the spacer. Similarly, the tongue end of an incandescent filament holder is gripped between the lower substrate and the spacer.
