PURPOSE:To shorten picture retrieval time by displaying and controlling a picture on a picture display means through the use of digital picture data in digital picture data of R, G and B. CONSTITUTION:When an arithmetic and control circuit 1 selects a picture retrieval mode from an initial selection menu screen by a keyboard 2 and a mouse 7, it sequentially reads multiple pieces of color eyeground picture data recorded in a recording medium by a data recording and reproducing device 3, and sequentially displays eyeground images on a monitor television 5 through a picture construction circuit 4 from color eyeground picture data which are read. In such a case, the arithmetic and control circuit 1 sequentially reads only digital picture data of R among digital picture data of R, G and B, which are recorded in the recording medium, by the data recording and reproducing device 3, and displays a red eyeground image on the monitor television 5 through the picture construction circuit 4 from only digital picture data of R. |
