发明名称 DRIVING METHOD FOR DISCHARGE DISPLAY PANEL
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the driving method which can perform stable low-voltage writing to the DC memory type discharge display panel equipped with an electrode for AC type discharge and is decreased in discharging current required for the writing. CONSTITUTION:Discharge cells each equipped with at least two exposed electrodes (DAj and Ki) which are arranged oppositely and exposed to the discharge cell and an electrode (Ai) covered with at least one dielectric are arranged in matrix; and maintaining pulses are continuously applied to the discharge cells and maintaining pulse discharge started with write pulses is carried on until erasure pulses are applied. When this pulse memory type discharge display panel is driven, pulses are applied to the discharge cells so that DC discharge (WP and KP) and AC type discharge (SAP) through the dielectric layer become write discharge at the same time.
