<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by making a portable information equipment operate at a low processing speed when the equipment is not in a processing standby state. CONSTITUTION:A pen input and detection tablet 10 generates an interruption signal and notifies it to a CPU 1 when an input pen 10a approaches the location inside of the detection range from the location outside of the range or when it is away from the location inside of the detection range to the location outside of the range. At this time, the CPU 1 moves the execution control of a program to a pen input interruption processing part. In the pen input interruption processing part, an interruption factor is investigated at first, a clock high speed switching instruction is instructed to a clock switching control part 4 if the factor is a pen approach interruption, and a clock low speed switching instruction is instructed to the clock switching control part 4 if the factor is a pen non-approach interruption. By this processing, the processing speed is possible to be made into temporary high speed by only making the input pen 10a approach to the pen input tablet 10 as necessary by a user not only the time when recognition processing of handwritten input characters is performed but also the other times.</p> |
