<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display device which can prevent voltage drop when a liquid crystal element is not selected and to improve picture quality, in MIM type liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:Each liquid crystal display which constitutes a liquid crystal display device is provided with liquid crystal section 11. One end of liquid crystal section 11 is connected to a scanning signal line, the other end is connected to one end of a MIM section 13, and the other end of the MIM section 13 is connected to a data signal line. And the liquid crystal display element is provided with a capacitor for memory 12 constituted with a ferroelectric substance, and the capacitor for memory 12 is connected in parallel to the liquid crystal section 11. Thus, by connecting the capacitor for memory 12 in parallel to the liquid crystal section 11, voltage applied to the liquid crystal section 11 is not varied, though leakage of current occurs in the MIM section 13 when a liquid crystal element is not selected. Therefore, influence of waveform (cross talk, etc.) is not transmitted to the liquid crystal section, and high quality picture can be displayed.</p> |
