PURPOSE:To increase the number of image forming sheets per unit time by making the interval of cut sheets which are continuously fed to an image forming part necessary minimum and to enable even a normal feeding mode to be selected according to a using environment or the switching state of a sheet carrying path. CONSTITUTION:A paper intervalless-feeding mode and the normal feeding mode can be optionally selected. The sheet fed from a paper supply cassette 1 by a pickup roller 2 and a paper feeding roller 5 is respectively and continuously fed between a photosensitive drum 3 and a transfer and separation charger 4 by temporarily accelerating the feeding speed of the sheet than a prescribed image forming speed with a control roller 7, keeping the interval of the sheets an irreducible minimum when the paper intervalless-feeding mode is selected and making the feeding speed of the sheet with the roller 7 constant by making the interval of the sheets relatively wide when the normal feeding mode is selected. Besides, when an identical paper ejection or a paper supply path is not specified for the before and behind sheets, the normal feeding mode is automatically selected. |
