A device is claimed for the electric welding of a flat metal product following an essentially rectilinear welding line, comprising at least one conducting serrated roller housed on a shaft mounted to rotate on a support arm integral with a carriage that can be moved in translation with respect to the product. The rotation shaft incorporates a central component able to rest directly on the support arm and two lateral components extending outside the support arm. These are respectively a cantilevered fixing component carrying the serrated roller and an electrical feed component threaded into a tubular sleeve of conducting metal fixed on the support arm and extending as a cantilever outside the support arm. At least one lamellated conducting ring is interposed between the electrical feed component of the shaft and the tubular sleeve. USE/ADVANTAGE - The device is used for the electric welding of flat metal products, notably for such applications as the welding of metal strip or sheet. It is less cumbersome than conventional equipment for such applications remaining simple and easy to dismantle whilst facilitating an efficient cooling of the conducting components.
