PURPOSE:To provide parallel optical transmission equipment capable of performing optical parallel coupling with high accuracy and high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:In the parallel optical transmission equipment equipped with a solid-state light emitting element array 1 composed by arranging plural solid- state light emitting elements 4a-4h driven by driving electrodes 3a-3h and emitting light by electric-optical conversion, and a parallel optical transmission medium 2 composed by arranging plural parallel optical transmission media 5a-5h, and which couples emitting light from the solid-state light emitting element array 1 with the parallel optical transmission medium array 2 and performs parallel optical transmission, the areas of the light emitting parts of the solid-state light emitting elements 4a-4h emitting the light at an end face are formed smaller than the real areas of transmission parts 6a-6h which transmit the optical signals of the parallel optical transmission media 5a-5h, and pitch between each of the solid-state light emitting elements 4a-4h is set equal to that between each of the parallel optical transmission media 5a-5h. |
