Pallet skid to form pallets using connecting boards - is made from pressed chip or fibre board with underneath recesses and blind holes for attaching fasteners.

Each skid foot (2) has a rotationally symmetrical recess (7) in its free foot end and the surrounding blind holes (9) run with their longitudinal axes parallel to the axis of rotation (8) of the recess. There are pref. four blind holes evenly spaced from the rotary axis and each off-set by 90 deg. Each skid pref. has three feet (2), one at each end and one in the middle. To make up a pallet the skids are placed spaced from each other and connected by boards (18) using the fasteners such as screws or screw nails which fit through the bores (19) in the boards and the blind holes. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easier mfr. of pallet skid using pressing technique, and lower part of pressing mould has corresp. pins to form blind holes.
