There is a drying, or cooling chamber, through which extends a transport strand in a transport plane. The strand has e.g. pin-shaped retainers for the hollow bodies, such that the latter longitudinal axes are parallel. Through the chamber is guided an air stream from at least one inlet aperture to an outlet one (5). The air stream flows across the suspended hollow bodies. Baffles (41) guide a parallel air stream (43) orthogonally to the longitudinal axes (42) of the bodies (38) suspended from the transport strand (24). USE/ADVANTAGE - For packaging tubes, aerosol cans etc, with increased processed vol. and rate in a compact arrangement.
