Transmission device between shaft journal and crank esp. for printing press - has coupling consisting of drive and driven pulleys set between journal and cam and has three drivers engaging around pulley axes

Between the journal (1) and the crank (cam) (10) is a coupling (6) with a drive and driven pulley (4,5). At least three drivers (4.1,5.1) are brought into contact in a circle around the rotating axes (7,12) of the pulleys. Theses axes are set eccentrically to each other. The cam is at one end of a shaft (9) and the drive and driven pulleys are at the other end this shaft being rigidly located opposite on end of the journal. The three drivers are in the form of hooks, bolts or rollers situated on the end faces of ther pulleys. USE/ADVANTAGE - For printing machines, esp. offset printers. Power change through the cam can be executed without interfering with the journal bearing.
