The equipment for gassing porous foundry cores (1) consists of a core shooting mould (4) made up preferably of a bottom (2) and a top (3), with a sealed gassing hood (5) attached to the top (3). Gassing takes place through the top (3), preferably through shooting holes (6). Gas from the sealed bottom (2) is extracted through a clamping/transfer table (7). The equipment is characterised by the fact that at least the space surrounding the core (1) (and hence the core itself) in the core shooting mould (4) can be evacuated, and that gas can be supplied to the evacuated core (1). After the gassing process, the space surrounding the core is flushed with air, preferably with compressed air, and the air and gas mixture is extracted via a filter unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - In the foundary industry. It reduces gas consumption and largely avoids costs connected with environment protection.
