发明名称 IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO A PROCESS FOR COOLING REFRIGERATED SPACES, AND A COOLING DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING SAID PROCESS
摘要 1,219,692. Refrigerators; defrosting; cold accumulators. G. BAUKNECHT, G. BAUKNECHT and G. BAUKNECHT, [trading as GOTTLOB BAUKNECHT ELEKTROMOTORENBAU]. 26 Jan., 1968 [14 Nov., 1967], No. 4155/68. Heading F4H. In a refrigerator having a freezing compartment and a cooling compartment cooled by two series connected evaporators forming part of a compression-condensation refrigeration cycle whose expansion device is a capillary tube, the capillary tube is arranged in heat exchange relationship with the evaporator in the cooling compartment. The arrangement ensures that the cooling compartment is operated at a temperature above that of the freezing compartment, and provides automatic defrosting of the evaporator in the cooling compartment when the compressor is switched off by virtue of the warm refrigerant in the capillary tube at that time. As illustrated, the compressor 1 supplies refrigerant through the condenser 2 to the capillary tube 3 which is in contact with part of the cooling evaporator 7 and which feeds the freezing evaporator 4. A thermostat (not shown) controls the compressor, and whenever the latter is switched off, the evaporator 7 is automatically defrosted. Refrigerant vapour thus formed is recondensed and stored in an accumulator 6 in the freezing compartment pending re-energization of the compressor. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the capillary tube is in heat exchange contact with the whole of the cooling evaporator and feeds that evaporator. The temperature stability of the freezer compartment may be improved by placing a liquid filled flexible container in contact with the freezer evaporator to act as a cold store, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). The evaporators may be of the plate type and the capillary tube may be soldered to the outer wall of the cooling evaporator, Fig. 5 (not shown), or may be located within a duct of the evaporator, Fig. 6 (not shown). The evaporators may be located in the compartments or may be in separate chambers, cold being conducted to the compartment through the chamber walls.
