<p>To relax gearings on a machine stoppage within motor-driven and speed controlled gearing sections with belt drives, to drive rollers, the reverse rotation of the gearing section (4) acts on an actual value transmitter through the drive motor (6) with a speed control (10). In the absence of a nominal value, for the stoppage of the drive motor (6), at the start of the reverse rotation the negative direction of the actual value is changed to a positive direction for a positive value to set the speed control (10) so that the drive motor (6) is operated by the power unit in the original direction, so that it does not relax or only relaxes very slowly through a controlled drift. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method is for gearings with belt drives in machines with rollers to carry materials such as wires, films or paper which are sensitive to reverse rotation on a stoppage. The system prevents damage or shearing of the material on a stoppage, by taking up the torque and controlling any tendency to reverse.</p> |
