The leg has locking members in the form of a pair of displaceable bolts (13). The bolts fit into openings in the outer tubular section (11) which encloses an inner tubular section (12). The bolts have mushroom-shaped ends (13b) which engage matching recesses (16a) in a central actuation rod (16). The shafts of the bolts are enclosed by compression springs (14). ADVANTAGE - The arrangement prevents the locking bolts from becoming detached from the leg and possibly getting lost.
