<p>PURPOSE:To achieve frame synchronization at high speed on a multi-segmentally recorded tape. CONSTITUTION:A reference rotary signal and a reference frame signal are generated by a reference generating means 3. A regenerative signal is outputted by a drum 2 with a mounted head under rotary scanning on the tape 1 traveled by a tape driving means 6. A tracking error is supplied via a polarity changeover means 5 to the tape driving means 6 by a tracking error detecting means 4. A frame phase difference is detected by a frame phase difference detecting means 8 from a track number detected by a track number detecting means 7 and the reference frame signal. Phase correction is performed by a phase correcting means 9 via the tape driving means 6 in accordance with a frame phase difference to resolve the frame phase difference, and then tracking is stabilized by opening the polarity changeover means. By this method, a reproducing frame phase can exactly be synchronized with the reference at high speed.</p> |
