PURPOSE:To accurately detect the current amount and distribution of toner and to maintain the amount of the toner in a toner puddle part in the range of a specific amount, and the distribution uniform, in a developing machine adopting a system that the toner horizontally flows in the toner puddle part. CONSTITUTION:The developing machine having the toner puddle part 8 extending in parallel with the axial direction of a developing magnetic substance roll 12 inside, a toner hopper supplying the toner to the toner puddle part 8, a pressure-conductive sheet 15 fixed on the bottom surface part of the toner puddle part 8, provided with plural electrode groups so as to cross to each other, and simultaneously, detecting the pressure of each intersection, and an arithmetic control means 25 calculating the amount of the toner in a toner puddle based on the output from each intersection of the pressurizing conductive sheet 15, are provided. |
