Chair that automatically tracks sun - uses opto-electronic detectors mounted on top of chair back to signal controller that drives motor to rotate chair

The chair has a fixed base (1) and a rotating part (3) that carries the seat (4) and the back (5) of the chair. An electric motor (7) drives the rotating part through 360 degrees if required. The rotating part has optoelectronic detectors (12) fitted in the top of the chair back where they receive the sun's rays. The detectors are connected to an electronic controller (10), which supplies the electric motor to rotate the chair so that it faces the sun. USE/ADVANTAGE - Chair, for use in gardens or terraces, that is fully automated to track sun so as to keep chair facing full on to sun.
