The cover consists of a number of sections (2, 3, 4) which fit together telescopically, one inside the other.The two end sections of the cover have transverse panels (8), with the transverse panel of the smaller end section fitting inside the cover when it is retracted by sliding it inside the smaller section from one end to the other by means of rollers engaging with lower side rails and a central overhead rail. The cover sections can be made from a framework, e.g. of a lightweight metal alloy, covered with transparent plastics panels. ADVANTAGE - Reduced dimensions when in retracted position.
