PURPOSE:To attain good copying even in the case that a distance between an original and an original platen is different on the same original in such a case that the original is a book. CONSTITUTION:As to the image forming device provided with an optical system 210 for exposing the original placed on the original platen 211, the device is provided with a copying magnification correcting means 231 for correcting the copying magnification in a scanning direction by the optical system 210, a range finding means 230 for detecting the position of the original with reference to the original platen 211 and a correction controlling means 232 for calculating the curvature of the original based on the detection result of the range finding means 230 and controlling the copying magnification correcting means 231. |
