PURPOSE:To easily set performance environment as a player desires by substituting a parameter that the player desires for a musical sound control parameter and generating a musical sound. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 13 is stored with timbre parameters (musical tone control parameter) supplied from a card 5. A RAM 14 is stored with personal data. The personal data are data which substitute for the timbre parameters stored in the RAM 13 and are high in individuality. A CPU 15 controls the operation of the whole electronic musical instrument including the substituting process for the timbre parameters. When keys of a keyboard 1 are pressed, the personal data in the RAM 14 are sent out to a sound generation channel of a sound source 16 for parameters whose personal data validity flags are 1. Further, control data on an operation element which are already inputted are processed by using the data stored in the RAM 14 when necessary and then sent out to the sound generation channel. |
