PURPOSE:To select the best hatching pattern for a drawing by optionally selecting the interval, angle, etc., of the hatching pattern by an operator. CONSTITUTION:This system is equipped with an input device 1 for specifying an area where the hatching pattern is provided and the size variables of the hatching pattern such as the interval and angle. An I/F 9 for pattern generation passes the size variables, specified through the input device 1, to as arguments of a hatching element generating function provided for a hatching pattern generator 10. The hatching pattern generator 10 generates the specified hatching pattern according to the specified size variables. An area decision processing part 11 extracts a part included in the area of a closed figure specified through the input device 1 from the generated hatching pattern and supplies it to a display control part 12. The specified pattern kind, size variables, etc., are stored in a data base 5 and generated hatching elements are stored in a hatching data base 6. |
