PURPOSE:To facilitate accurate origin-positioning of a motor even in the case that a plurality of the motors are employed to move works which are provided in parallel with each other while their origin positions are made uniform and position control is performed by a method wherein the work is made to abut on a surface plate on a base to which the work is attached for origin-positioning of the work. CONSTITUTION:The stator 5 and the traveller 6 of a linear brushless motor 3 do not have an origin-position detecting sensor. A surface plate 12 is provided on the production of the stroke of the traveller 6 and on a base. Currents are applied to coils 7 on the stator 5 so as to make the traveller 6 and the work 9 move toward the surface plate 12. A timer is operated simultaneously when the current application is started and the traveller 6 and the work 9 stop moving when they touch the surface plate 12. The timer is turned off after a time long enough to have the traveller 6 reach the surface plate 12 passes. When the timer is turned off, the counter of an encoder signal s reset to determine the position of the origin of the traveller 6 and the work 9. |
