PURPOSE:To increase an impregnation property into the electrode of a vacuum apparatus and to enhance the productivity of the tittle capacitor by a method wherein a sheetlike electrode in which an electrolyte powder has been kneaded is used and the sheetlike electrode is impregnated with only an organic solvent whose viscosity is comparatively low in the impregnation process of an electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:An active carbon powder, a carbon black conductive powder and an electrolyte powder are kneaded together with PTFE as a binder; after that, this mixture is extended to a prescribed thickness; a sheetlike electrode material is obtained. A circular sheetlike electrode 1 is stamped from the electrode material. Then, the sheetlike electrode 1 is attached, via a conductive adhesive 3, to the bottom part of a case 2 whose bottom is shallow; after that, an organic solvent is injected into the case 2 by means of a dispenser nozzle 4; the sheetlike electrode 1 is impregnated with the solvent; an electrolytic solution is produced inside the sheetlike electrode 1; then, the case 2 is covered with a cap. Thereby, an electric double layer capacitor whose electric characteristic is good can be obtained at high productivity. |
