PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a battery and reduce the surface impedance with a positive electrode by inserting a gelatinous electrolyte swelled with a lactonic solution of lithium perchloric acid in ether polyurethane between the positive electrode and a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A gelatinous electrolyte 3 impregnated with lactone which is a solvent containing an electrolyte LiClO4 into a sheet-like polymer cross- linked body of ether polyurethane is inserted between a lithium alloy negative electrode 2 and a positive electrode active material 4. They are pinched with stainless plates 1 concurrently serving as a current collector and a case and sealed with a sealing material 5. Baked body grains of lithium-containing vanadium pentaoxide or lithium-containing manganese dioxide are used for the positive electrode active material 4. Lithium alloy capable of storing or discharging lithium is used for the negative electrode 2. The manufacture of a thin-type, large-area lithium battery is facilitated, the contact between the electrodes and the electrolyte is improved, and the interface impedance with a positive electrode can be reduced. |
