The cover is made from several pieces of fabric (10,12,14,16,18) which are stitched together along their edges. The pieces (14,16,18) which cover the arms and the sides of the back have parallel rows of gathering (22) made with elastic threads or tape. The seat and the front surface of the back are made from smooth pieces of fabric (10,12) which are stitched together and to the other pieces. A flounce (20,20') extends along the lower perimeter of the chair and is made from one or several pieces of fabric. The pieces are cut out from a single piece of fabric.
