The game of skill and observation comprises a dish-shaped bowl in which a thrown-in ball may, in each instance, roll into one of several marked recesses, and also comprises a betting board which has a plurality of fields containing betting symbols for the putting-on of counters of other betting blocks. The bowl has a ring-shaped, rotationally symmetric, concave orbiting path for balls which are thrown in approximately tangentially, wherein the ring-shaped orbitting path is delimited at the outer edge by a raised stop ring with an inside chamfer, and at the inner edge by a ring-shaped rim of recessed compartments to receive the thrown-in balls. The angle of inclination of the concave oribting path relative to the horizontal is from 1 degree to 10 degree. The betting board comprises a plate-shaped base for the fields containing the betting symbols, the base having barriers or obstacles such as recesses or raised pars which separate the fields provided in a compact arrangement such that only successive fields adjoin one another.
