PURPOSE:To considerably improve, without deteriorating magnetic characteristics, the mechanical strength of a sintered rare-earth element- transition metal-based magnet. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind selected from the boride phase given by chemical formulas X-B or X-TM-B (where, X is at least one kind selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Mo, V, W and Ta, and TM is at least one kind selected from Fe, Co and Ni) is included in the range of 0.1 to 5vol.% in a rare earth- transmission metal-based sintered magnet. |
