PURPOSE:To obtain the method for detecting the absorbance of ultraviolet rays or visible light having the excellent analysis efficiency by utilizing all the light, which has passed through the solution part of a capillary, and blocking stray light. CONSTITUTION:In the method for detecting the absorbance of ultraviolet rays or visible light, light (a) is cast on a capillary 1, and the absorbance of the light in a solution part 2 in the inside is measured. Then, the difference between the refractive index of the material of the capillary 1 and the refractive index of the solution part 2 in the capillary is utilized. A photodetector is provided at a position, where the light, which has passed the solution part 2, and the light, which has not passed the solution part 2, is separated with respect to the light, which has passed through the capillary. |
