The laminate contains two or more layers of plastics and one or more permeability-barrier layers. One of the plastics layers forms the base for the barrier layer, which is of ceramic material, and also supports the printed text. The ceramic layer can be on the printed side of the plastics one, and can have a further layer of plastics applied to it. Both sides of the plastics can be coated with protective varnish, and the plastics layers can be formed by sheets. USE/ADVANTAGE - Particularly for packing goods liable to chemical, physical or microbiological alteration, being impervious to gas, steam or liquid.
