PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a long distance transmission, by dividing into half the frequency band of a signal which has been subjected to pulse interval modulation in order that it can be transmitted to a fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:A transmission input 1' is subjected to pulse interval modulation and is converted to a pulse signal 2'. This pulse signal 2' is input to the toggle flip-flop 8 and becomes a pulse signal 8' whose frequency has been divided into half, which is subjected to an intense modulation by the electro-optic transducer 3, and is transmitted to the fiber cable. The light signal which has been received is converted to an electric signal by the photoelectric transducer 5 and becomes a pulse signal 5'. This pulse signal 5' is input to the differentiator 9, and a differential waveform 9' is obtained by taking the OR of a waveform which has differentiatied the rise and a waveform which has differentiated the fall and has inverted the polarity. Furthermore, a pulse signal 10' is obtained by the monostable multivibrator 10, a saw tooth wave 6' is generated by inputting it to the saw tooth wave generator 6, and a receiving output 7' can be obtained through the integrator 7. |
