<p>The chemical cleaning of fabric items with the aid of water or steam features short acceleration of the container with the precleaned goods and with surface swelling of fibres due to water or stem action. The medium is then emulsified by the addition of a detergent with a low salt content, which also includes some bactericides. The emulsion is removed with per- or trichloroethylene. The steam is fed through a heating zone at a pressure of 1 to 8 atm. and the machine housing contains a divided tank for the detergent and additives. The design avoids complex structures to withstand forces produced in the centrifugal spinning, and ensures automatic process control.</p> |
