<p>The invention is drawn to methods and compositions for delivery of therapeutic agents to a subject. In particular, delivery is achieved by oral administration of a chimeric molecule having a therapeutic agent conjugated to a suitable carrier molecule wherein the carrier molecule is capable of effecting delivery of the chimeric molecule by transepithelial transport via transcytosis. The invention can obviate the need for injection of therapeutic agents unable to cross the grastrointestinal barrier.</p> |
