The radial piston pump is of high capacity. The distance of the edge of the lift curve (29) from the axis (12) of the cam (18) has at least two maxima which are peripherally spaced from each other. The lift curve is so shaped that a harmonic movement is imparted to the radial pistons (28) which bear against it as the pump operates. USE/ADVANTAGE - Radial piston pump gives a high delivery volume for a small structural outlay.
