PURPOSE:To obtain the most desired enlargement/reduction magnifications only through a user's natural action or head motion by increasing relative magnifications as a distance corresponding to a view point position increases. CONSTITUTION:A view point detecting means 2 measures the view point position of the user. A characteristic arithmetic means 4 generates display magnifications corresponding to the distance between the view point position and an object to be displayed which is stored in a storage means 3 and a display control means 5 displays the object on a display means 1 with the display magnifications. Specially, some or all of relative magnifications generated by the characteristic arithmetic means 4 are increased as the distance increases or/and the relative magnifications generated by the characteristic arithmetic means 4 are so calculated as to match an effective range characteristic to the display object. Consequently, the user can obtain desired display magnifications within ranges matching respective display objects by moving his or her head. |
