Each longitudinal edge of the second and third side parts (2,3) is connected to a longitudinal edge of the first side part (1). The free edges of these three rectangular side parts have moulded areas (11,21,31) which extend perpendicular to the plane of each side into the space enclosed by the three parts. The shock-absorbing angled inserts (4) are fitted between the moulded areas and corresponding edges. The protective cover is made from a biodegradable material such as cotton, jute or linen. The inserts are shaped so that two original material strips are angled and fixed together so that where the arms of the angle adjoin each an outwardly protruding corner is formed running in an extension of the diagonal of the angle. Base flaps (7) can be provided for stability. Cross belts (5) hold the cover against the unit. USE/ADVANTAGE- The packaging can be reused several times and then recycled.
