The invention relates to a method and a device for dividing panels, in particular large-sized panels of wood, wooden materials, plastic or the like, and for machining the parts produced by the dividing, in which the panels or the parts are held stationary via a suction means and in this state are machined at the margins, on the top and/or on the underside via preferably CNC-controlled tools movable in X-, Y- and/or Z-direction and if need be rotatable, pivotable or tiltable in further directions.
