The annular brush seal makes it possible to provide sealing between two zones between which there is a pressure difference, even in the case where the shaft (11) is off centre.
<??>The body of the seal consists mainly of several annular sectors (27) arranged in a ring around the shaft (11) and each one mounted so that it can pivot in the stator. A snap ring (19) makes it possible to hold the fibres (10) of the sectors (27) against the shaft (11), despite the shaft possibly being off centre.
