Electrical connector, comprising a housing (1) provided with contact elements (3) having connecting pins (6-9) extending outside the housing (1) and having a connecting end (10) for connecting electrical wiring, and a body (30) made of plastically deformable synthetic material with parts (40) which extend between the connecting pins (6-9). After the body (30) has been fitted over the connecting pins (6-9), one or more of the parts (40) of the body (30) extending along the connecting pins (6-9) is or are plastically deformed by means of a device (41) in such a manner that a barrier (44) is produced between connecting pins (6-9) to prevent the removal of the body (30).
