<p>Closure (1) for a container (2), provided with an applicator element (4), a cover (6) intended to be fitted on a neck (3) provided at the top of the container, the cover (6) being fitted on the said neck (3) by the intermediary of a cap (7) carrying the applicator element and capable of ensuring the closure of the bottle directly by cooperation between a helical thread (8) which the cap carries on its internal surface and a corresponding thread (9) carried externally by the neck (3) of the bottle (2), the said cap (7) also carrying a seal (19) intended to cooperate with the edge of the neck (3) when the cap (7) is in place on the bottle, in the closed position, and the cover (6) being fitted on the cap (7) and attached to the said cap (7) by a connection of the helical type, having the same direction as that of the threads (8, 9), the fitting of the cover (6) on the cap (7) offering less resistance than that of the cap (7) on the neck (3) of the container.
