Polypropylene resin composition and method for manufacturing coated molded article of the resin composition

A resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene and 20 to 100 parts by weight of a hydrogenated styrene/butadiene or styrene/isoprene elastomeric block copolymer having a melt index of not less than 25 g/10 min as determined at a temperature of 230 DEG C and a load of 2.16 kg/cm<2>. A method of manufacturing a coated molded article of the resin composition comprises the steps of molding said resin composition and then applying a coating directly thereto without any preliminary surface treatment. This method can yield a molded article having a low mold shrinkage factor and linear expansion coefficient, and the amount of fillers to be incorporated can be reduced thus saving weight.
