PURPOSE:To provide an excellent vibration-proof effect by equipping, at an upper part of an outboard engine, with a V-shaped 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine of which the right/ left cylinder axes are made divergent at 90 deg. or less in the form of V, and providing vibration-proof rubbers for upper-side/lower-side support members, at space portions formed in casing means disposed beneath the engine. CONSTITUTION:This outboard engine 20 is equipped, at an upper part thereof, with a V-shaped 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine having right/left cylinder axes of which the V shaped divergent angle is not more than 90 deg.. In this engine, a crank shaft 22 thereof is substantially vertically directed, and an upper/a lower cylinder 26 on one-side bank are directed backwards and are diverged in the form of V. Below the engine there is disposed a casing means 60 composed of an extension case 61 connected to the underside of a mount case 51 and a gear case 71. Vibration-proof rubbers 11, 15 for upper and lower support members 6, 8 are received in a recess 99 and a through hole 101 which are space portions formed respectively in a central part of the mount case 51 and the extension case 61. A reinforcing portion integral with the case 61 is provided with respect to the through hole 101. |
