PURPOSE:To adequately manage concn. by directly recognizing the state of a raw material soln.; for example, in which state of 'brine', 'mother liquor' and 'bittern' raw material soln. in the evaporator of a salt making plant is. CONSTITUTION:The calibration curve indicating the relation between the concnd. of the total amt. of the magnesium chloride and calcium chloride in the raw material soln. and the sound velocity in the raw material soln. is determined. The sound velocity in the raw material soln. in the salt making plant is measured and the measured sound velocity is converted to a concn. value in accordance with the calibration curve, by which the concn. of the total amt. of the magnesium chloride and the calcium chloride is measured. The evaporator is controlled by deciding the region up to a first inflection point P as the 'brirne A', the region from the first inflection point P to the second inflection point Q as the 'mother liquor B' and the region after the second inflection point as the 'bittern C'. |
