PURPOSE:To provide the subject heat treating method so designed that sheet-like materials and carbonaceous plates are clamped at each tier or collectively in several tiers to prevent wrinkle development at their free ends due to temperature unevenness. CONSTITUTION:In a hot oven where electric current is injected into carbonaceous exothermic body and material (s) to be treated is heat treated by the resulting radiation heat, sheet-like materials (each ca.2mm thick) are laminated and a carbonaceous plate (4-10mm thick) is laminated thereon at every group of several sheets; and, to prevent wrinkle development at the free ends of the sheet-like materials due to baking, the laminated sheet-like materials are put to firm contact with the carbonaceous plate to avoid temperature unevenness at the ends of the materials. Besides, for checking the movement of both the sheet-like materials and the carbonaceous plates, the carbonaceous plates 13 laminated on the sheet-like material laminates (each 5-50mm thick) on a supporting table 5 are clamped and girders 14 and clips 15 are also used to put such ends to firm contact with the carbonaceous plates. The ratio of the thickness of each carbonaceous plate T1 to that of each sheet-like material laminate T2 is set at 0.05 to 2. |
