PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composite board having both high mechanical strength and fire resistance by embedding a metallic mesh sheet in a pasty material having a specific composition to make forming into a sheet-like form which is then dried and heated. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a pasty material 1 is prepared by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a mixture of (1) 70-90 pts.wt. of fly ash, (2) 3-10 pts.wt. of wollastonite, (3) 5-10 pts.wt. of fine blast furnace slag powder, and (4) 5-15 pts.wt. of fine silica powder with (B) 20-35 pts.wt. of a slurry-like binder comprising (a) 10-30 pts.wt. of aluminum hydroxide, (b) 20-50 pts.wt. of zinc oxide, (c) 30-60 pts.wt. of sodium aluminate, (d) 500-1000 pts.wt. of a saturated boric acid solution, and (e) 800-1500 pts.wt. of sodium silicate. This pasty material is fed onto a thick film sheet 3 through vacuum extrusion, and a metallic mesh sheet 2 is fed thereon. Thence, the pasty material 1' is laid thereon and a thin film sheet 5 is fed thereon. The resultant laminate is made flat using a rolling press roller 6 and made into a dry composite board 10 in a hot dryer 7 followed by cutting the board with a cutter 8 and then heating, thus affording the objective product. |
